For 38 years I have had the pleasure of meeting and caring for the oral health of many remarkable people. I have done this by building a foundation of trust, listening, and engaging with respect and compassion.
Whether seeing a child at their first visit or enhancing their parent’s or grandparent's smile, my focus is always on what is right for the individual. That is true for dental emergencies and visiting tourists.
My practice is not driven by the dollar and we don’t cut corners. Instead, we provide excellent dental care at a fair price to deliver optimal results: beautiful healthy, and confident smiles!
Education and Experience
I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing at Colorado State University. I attend CSU on an athletic scholarship for swimming and water polo where I won five All America swimming titles. My Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) came from the University of Southern California.
Dental school was followed by a General Practice Residency at the Wadsworth V.A. Medical Center in West Los Angeles, California. I was in private practice in Los Angeles and a part-time clinical instructor at USC dental school before moving to Aspen.
Thirty-five years ago, my wife and I settled here in Aspen and we established our practice. As a dentist, I enjoy restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of people’s smiles. Using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures and products, combined with individualized treatment plans, I deliver the best results possible: optimum oral health and one-of-a-kind smiles.
At the core of this practice is a friendly team of professionals. They share my love of dentistry, dedication to exceptional care and results, and passion for honest communication with patients. We pride ourselves on providing the quality, personalized dental care we would offer our family members.
Throughout my career, I have dedicated countless hours to continuing education (CE). I enjoy the learning process and staying current on the latest research, trends, and developments in oral healthcare. I gain knowledge to strengthen my skills by attending meetings, lectures, and seminars, and studying peer-reviewed publications from the American and Colorado Dental Associations.
Beyond the Practice
My wife Candice and I met at USC; she is a dental hygienist. We have lived in Aspen for 35 years and have raised our children, twin sons, and a daughter, in this remarkable community. While the children are now grown, we’re not empty nesters: we have a shelter dog, Emma, who keeps us company.
I have been an active member of the Aspen Sister Cities program for the last 15 years. Bariloche, Argentina is one of Aspen’s Sister Cities and we have an ongoing medical/dental exchange with Ramon Carrillo Hospital in Bariloche. I have established lifetime friendships and professional relationships with the doctors and staff in Bariloche as well as Aspen Valley and Valley View Hospitals.
In my spare time, outside of being with family and friends, I enjoy skiing, golfing, and restoring old cars.
